IT Project Manager

Overview

We are looking for an extremely well organised person with leadership qualities that can fulfill a crucial role in Synetec’s future, we need this individual to take ownership of delivery and work with our team to get them performing at their best.  They need to embrace and thrive in taking on the challenge of a small growing company with many exciting projects and interesting clients. Key Professional Experience:

  • Getting projects delivered
  • Managing client’s projects, their requirements and the surrounding reporting and communication
  • Interface between clients, 3rd party vendors and the delivery team
  • Using Agile SCRUM to manage projects and run stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives
  • Chairing internal and external meetings, creating and circulating accurate and timely meeting minutes
  • Producing project timelines and estimates
  • Monitoring of project budget and deadlines
  • Management of business analysis and quality assurance functions
  • Identifying and resolving impediments to keep the team working efficiently
  • Assignment of tasks and resources
  • Monitoring of tasks and resources
  • Client Project Status Reporting
  • Project Resource, Budget and Status Reporting
  • Identifying and Implementing new/changes to existing processes
  • Motivating and inspiring the team to keep them happy while they are delivering

 

Essential Development Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years UK Project Management experience required
  • Experience in managing delivery of Agile/SCRUM Projects
  • Experienced and thrives in dealing with clients and keeping them happy

Senior .NET Engineer

Overview

Synetec are looking for an enthusiastic, conscientious and technically skilled senior c# .net developer to work with existing software engineers who will report to the Development Team Lead.

The role will be to architecturally design and build the IT systems that are needed to support the growing business and trading platforms. The individual will be influential in the analysis, design, development, and ongoing maintenance of these class leading platforms, whilst liaising with business teams, vendors and platforms. The person will be working within a small IT team, and will be comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-orientated environment.

Key Professional Experience:

  • Excellent system design and architecture skills.
  • Strong business analysis skills as they will be responsible for working closely with the business to gather requirements and implement them.
  • A passion to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to deliver all aspects of a project from start to finish.
  • Ability to work without close supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to other members of the development team.
  • Ability to pick up existing systems and quickly get up to speed.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous working experience in the Finance sector would be beneficial


Essential Development Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years C# commercial experience
  • Good knowledge/experience of design patterns(repository & UoW)
  • Strong C# .Net developer, with proven experience working on server-side multi-threaded systems.
  • Good knowledge on .net Core 2
  • Good knowledge/experience of designing greenfield application architecture
  • Good knowledge of web technologies & frameworks: HTML5, Asp.Net, AngularJS, Typescript
  • Good MS SQL Server developer.
  • Proficient in using Entity Framework
  • Good knowledge/experience of writing testable software using x Unit & Jasmine and Karma
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge/experience with GIT software repository

Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview

We are looking for someone that is passionate and a creative problem-solver, with an exceptionally high attention to detail. The right individual not only finds bugs, but plays a leading role in understanding the requirements, relating to the end-users and working closely with the development team and business analysts to identify acceptance criteria. You will provide input into our development cycle to find long-term optimum solutions. Your involvement will range from design to deployment to ensure we ship the highest quality systems and features.

Responsibilities

  • Take direct responsibility for the quality of our output.
  • Understanding business, system and feature requirements.
  • Validating requirements with the solution consultants and development team
  • Identifying, agreeing and documenting appropriate acceptance criteria
  • Creating and maintaining appropriate regression tests
  • Professionally and thoroughly executing regression tests and reporting results internally and externally
  • Identifying and recommending improvements to our processes in order to improve quality
  • Increase the adoption of automated testing

 

Essential Skills:

  • Happy to move quickly and independently. We are all nice and very willing to share knowledge and a helping hand, but you have to be willing to take ownership of the outlined goals and make things happen.
  • Commercial experience working on collaborative engineering teams
  • Experience with test driven development. You also love to work with an engineering team to automate testing and then create tools so the team can test their own code
  • Experience with testing RESTful Web Services
  • Commercial experience with any unit testing frameworks (NUnit, JUnit, xUnit, or similar)
  • Commercial experience with any test automation tools (Selenium Webdriver, Appium, Espresso, MSTest, Coded UI, Cucumber, FitNesse, Testium)
  • Hands on experience with web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, jQuery)
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, Web Service testing, Front-End UI automation and have built a Test Automation framework yourself. Implemented testing Builds for Continuous Integration
  • Ability to write SQL queries as well as stored procedures and perform back-end testing
  • Very organized, able to meet and keep track of tight deadlines with lots of moving parts
  • Know how to get things done, possessing a keen sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize problems, and analyse and resolve issues
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Sense of curiosity and desire to always be learning
  • Positive Mindset

 

Beneficial Skills:

  • 2- 3 years commercial testing experience
  • Computer Science Degree or equivalent software engineering qualification
