IT Business Development Manager


We are looking for someone with proven experience in a digital agency environment, with a strong interest in technology. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the on-going growth and profitability of the business through opening new and also expanding existing client accounts. You will be responsible for selling our services to a range of clients and will need a natural flair for professional service sales. You will also need to have a talent for generating new leads as well as closing warm leads. Someone with the aptitude and an appetite to create relationships, understand the underlying business and its objectives, and then actively contribute to the solutions of the business challenges will excel in this dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities:

This is a client-facing sales role, with responsibility for creating opportunities, developing ideas, making recommendations and presenting these to clients. You don’t have to be a developer, but having an ability to quickly learn about technology and how it can create opportunities is vital.

  • Generating Leads
  • Closing Warm Leads
  • Defining solutions within proposal and pitch documentation, and ensuring these solutions are accurate, feasible and innovative
  • Coordinating a sales pitch
  • Maximising revenue through client growth
  • Managing existing accounts and selling into them


Essential Skills:

  • Proven pre-sales experience in digital agency environment
  • Proven experience in generating and converting your own leads
  • Fantastic soft skills resulting in development and management of strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Well spoken enough to be able to effectively communicate with typical CXO’s in the financial services
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a digital agency environment, any candidate with less than that or not in selling professional software related consultancy and services (not product) will be discounted
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Proven track record of hitting targets

  • Basic Salary of £35,000 to £45,000  depending on experience, Plus OTE of approx £60,000
